UNIT PRICE FORMULA
Unit price = price ÷ quantity.
To compare per 100 units, multiply the unit price by 100.
To compare per 1000 units, multiply the unit price by 1000.
The lowest unit price is the cheapest option.
WORKED EXAMPLE
Option A: £1.20 for 300g.
£1.20 ÷ 300 = £0.004 per g.
Per 100g: £0.004 × 100 = £0.40.
