Help Using Teletext Tools

HOW TO NAVIGATE

• Type a 3-digit number in the PAGE box to jump instantly.
• Tap any row or page number to open it.
• Use NEXT>>> / <<<PREVIOUS or swipe left/right for internal screens.

NO PAGE-LEVEL SCROLLING is the design rule. If content grows, it becomes another screen.

WHY DOES NOTHING SCROLL?

Teletext pages were complete inside the TV frame. Teletext-Tools works the same way.

• Every page fits between header and footer
• Long help text becomes another screen
• Wide screens may show columns
• Phones use compact screen-by-screen pages

HOW INTERNAL SCREENS WORK

Some tools have screens such as 1/2, 2/2 or 1/7.

• Swipe left or right
• Tap internal PREVIOUS or NEXT
• Keyboard arrows work on many devices
• The PAGE box still jumps to a page number, not an internal screen

CONVERTERS

Converter pages usually use:
• VALUE — the number you type
• FROM — the current unit
• TO — the target unit
• RESULT — updates instantly

Start at P200 or use unit finder P201.

CALCULATORS + PRINTABLES

Calculators ask for values, then show a result or explanation. Printable pages usually offer options, a preview and a print button.

If a mobile keyboard hides part of a tool, tap outside the field to close the keyboard and continue.

WHY RESULTS MAY LOOK ROUNDED

Results are shortened when long decimals do not add practical value. Trailing zeros are usually removed to keep the teletext frame clean.

If you need a different scale, choose a nearby unit or use a more specific calculator.

COMMON CHECKS

If a result looks wrong:
• Check the value you typed
• Check FROM and TO choices
• Look for negative signs or decimals
• Reload if a page has been left open for a long time

SHARING LINKS

Copy the page URL to share a tool. Numbered URLs stay useful for teletext navigation, while SEO URLs may be used for Google and sitemap visibility.

Some choices may stay on your device rather than inside the shared link.

FULLSCREEN AND DISPLAY

Clocks, timers and display tools often work well fullscreen. On iPhone or iPad, Add to Home Screen can give a cleaner app-like view.

Rotate your device if a display page looks better in landscape.

SWIPE AND TAP BEHAVIOUR

After swiping, Teletext-Tools briefly blocks accidental taps so links do not open by mistake.

This is normal. If a button does not respond immediately after a swipe, wait a moment and tap again.

IF SOMETHING LOOKS BROKEN

Try this order:
• Reload the page once
• Check the 3-digit page number
• Rotate the device and check again
• Clear cache if old code appears

Header or footer overlap is a layout fault.
